Climate physics across planetary frontiers.
My research focuses on atmospheric circulation and climate across Earth, the Solar System, and exoplanets. I develop numerical models and use observations to understand the physical processes that shape these environments.
Research philosophy
A climate model should be more than a simulation: it should expose the physical mechanisms behind an observation and make predictions that can be tested.
I am from Vidigueira, Portugal. Beyond research, I enjoy hiking and mountain exploration, football, films, and Age of Empires III.
